This month’s FOM has 3 attributes that make it attractive to many franchise seekers.  It’s low cost (under $106K), has great margins and is a recurring revenue model.

The business model is on site delivery of PE/fitness classes filling a growing need nationwide.  You will be providing FUN for kids ages 6 months up to 12 years old – with a noncompetitive, sophisticated coaching curriculum.  The kids move all class long improving their balance and coordination and learning a new sport every week – you offer over 20 different sports!

The corporate location has been operating this business for 20 years and still does – so the home office walks the walk and knows how to help you build and scale the way he has.

The leadership team includes some of the biggest heavyweights in franchising – 3 gentleman who have built empire brands came on board recently to add vision and experience (with franchising) to help rapidly expand the footprint.

This is a largely underserved market – being one of the very few national brands to offer PE enrichment on site.  Parents love it because they can introduce their child to different sports without having to commit to a sport for the entire season.  This is a feel-good business for someone with a passion for children and fitness.

 

Three Ownership Models

 

Owner operator model – this is for someone who wants to run a low-cost business and loves kids.  Owner is responsible for hiring and managing a coaching staff.  You should be sales and community oriented.  You will be making and keeping strong connections with all the local administrative staff at private schools, day care facilities and municipal rec centers.  You will attend networking events and volunteer for nonprofits to raise awareness for your business. You’ll be responsible for building an A team and maintaining strong culture and upholding accountability tracts.

Semi-absentee model – here you will recruit and hire a key manager and once set up expect to spend 10-15 hours a week managing your manager.  Focus on strategic planning and implementation and manage your team through our traction EOS, KPI’s and financials. You will need to have a strong presence in the community representing the brand and identifying growth opportunities.

Passive/Management model – perfect for investors who love what we do and want to grow a business to eventually step away from their career but can’t do so currently.  Franchisee will have the ability to remove management at any time – but until you do management (corporate) will recruit, hire, train and manage the manager on your behalf.  You will pay extra for this service as long as corporate is running your business.  If you do choose to go this route there is a 3 territory minimum with $153K due at signing.

Who they want:

Absolutely no industry experience required, but you should have a love of working with kids and an affinity for kids sports.  They want an entrepreneur with a desire to build a large mission-based business.  You must excel in building and managing teams, problem solving, customer service and be a relationship builder.  They are seeking ambitious and innovative owners with reasonable sales skills.
