Lyndsey Girardot is the owner or partner currently in 4 Pure Barre locations in greater Denver. She is a go getter with 4 year old twins and this is her story.
Tell me about your background?
I grew up in Colorado as a competitive dancer. That lead me to be an actress in Los Angeles for 12 years while attending University of Southern California. I was trained to teach Private Pilates for 8 years in LA as well and there is where I found my love for the Pure Barre technique. I was trained to teach at the Brentwood CA location, one of the very first Pure Barre franchises. I moved back home to CO 12 years ago and realized there were no Barre studios! I opened Cherry Creek, my first location 10 years ago.
What was happening in your life that caused you to want to own a business?
I was an artist in the film industry of Hollywood where every moment of progress is dependent on someone else’s decision. I wanted to create my own progress and make my own decisions!
Why Purre Barre?
The company was brand new and I knew it was going to explode. The technique was (and still is) the best Barre technique out there. The most intense, but the safest for joints with the best music!
What was the biggest surprise when you opened your business?
Ha, how popular it would be! How challenging managing people can be!
What would you have done differently now that you know what you know?
I have learned to let things go a lot easier and learned to trust others too help me.
What’s the best thing about owning your own business?
There is no one else to look at in the mirror but myself when I see rewards come through!
What’s next for you?
Simplifying my life a bit so I can focus on my 4 year old twins and my husband!
